Klang+Ton Heft 3/2017 Test result: Kit test Omnes Audio Empor 2016 - Empor S 2016.
Price values of compact/stand-alone speaker kits from Blue Planet Acoustic. PERFECTLY STABLE TO THE GROUND. Everyone can afford to be expensive, but offering speakers for a strictly limited budget is an art. Blue Planet Acoustic is trying its hand at the lower end of the price scale with two new models. Sound result: First of all, the two compact Shorty 2016 were allowed to sit on suitable stands and demonstrate their potential. And you can''t complain: this sounds like anything you can imagine, but not like a kit for a good 116 Euros. First highlight: the tweeter(Omnes Audio T25H). he digests the thoroughly pithy piano work on Eva Cassidy''s "Ain`t No Sunshine" completely without grumbling; he doesn''t annoy, but positions the action in the best possible way and sharply outlined on the half-left position, with energy and verve. it continues with Tom Jones "Did Trouble Me". it''s amazing how big the action is presented and how much fervor the singer puts into his voice. it works seamlessly, gratifyingly right and completely without any noticeable problems. the six and a half (Omnes Audio MW6 B)) in the bass does its job properly, but doesn''t reinvent physics: if you want more drive and attack in low registers, you have to upgrade - for example with a second woofer of the same type. the Empor 2016 shine with the same qualities as the Shorty, but appear tighter, more agile, more pithy than its little sister. and yes, there''s more bass, really in the sense of "more". the tonal balance shifts a little bit downwards, which gives the sound a little bit sonorous. with every more violent attack the two bass membranes pay off: it simply sounds more jagged and grippy. mr. jones gets noticeably more chest and acts a little more velvety than with the Shorty 2016. which tuning is more yours, i can''t decide, both versions have their charms. both speakers deliver a maximum of what you can ask for at the demanded prices: highly decent sound without a lot of noiseSound without any weaknesses and no experiments in tuning - both kits sound correct in the best sense of the word.
