Klang + Ton Heft 3/2017 Test conclusion : kit test Omnes Audio Empor 2016 - Shorty 2016 (now Empor S) .
Inexpensive compact / floor kits from Blue Planet Acoustic. PEREFEKT BODENSTÄNDIG. Anyone can afford expensive, but offering speakers for a tight budget is an art. Blue Planet Acoustic is trying two new models at the lower end of the price scale. Conclusion: First, the two compact Shorty 2016 were allowed to sit on suitable stands and prove their potential. And there you can not complain: That sounds like everything else, but not like a kit for a good 70 euros. First highlight: the tweeter ( Omnes Audio T25H ).He digests the thoroughly robust piano work on Eva Cassidy''s "Ain''t No Sunshine" completely without grumbling; He does not annoy, but positions the event well positioned and sharply outlined in the half-left position, with energy and verve. It continues with Tom Jones "Did Trouble Me". Amazing how big the event is represented and how much fervor the singer puts into his voice. This works without interruption, pleasingly correct and completely without any noticeable problems. The six- sons ( Omnes Audio MW6 B ) in the bass does its job neat, but does not reinvent the physics: Who wants more drive and attack in low positions, which must be upgraded - for example, with a second woofer of the same type. The Empor 2016 shine with the same qualities as the Slike the Shorty, but seem more taut, agile, pithier than the little sister. And yes, there is more bass, too, in the sense of "more". The tonal balance shifts slightly downwards, giving the sound a somewhat sonorous note. With each slightly more violent attack, the two bass diaphragms pay off: it simply sounds more jagged and grippier. Mr. Jones gets noticeably more ribcage and acts a little more velvety than the Shorty 2016. Which vote is more yours, I can not decide, their appeal has both variants. Both speakers deliver a maximum of what you can ask for at the asking prices: high decent sound with no weaknesses and no experimentation with tuning - both kits sound like they''re madesound correct in the best sense . Welcome Shorty! The Shorty 2016 offers for small money the optimal entry for beginners and newcomers to the hi-fi world. The 2 attractively priced protagonists, the Omnes Audio MW6 B, a 6-inch standard midrange woofer with steel basket and the Omnes Audio T25H tweeter play together perfectly. Thus, the direction was clear: the Shorty 2016 is, as its predecessor, an extremely cheap kit which provides an excellent sound equivalent. With its dimensions of 24 x 37 x 30 cm (W x H x D), the small is extremely well dimensioned and also finds its place on the shelf. So grab the shorty and sound up your life!
