With the new MW series woofers from Omnes Audio once again an inspiring and fascinating speaker driver series was created, with which optically and technically high quality speaker systems can be created, that are also fairly inexpensive. In addition the sensitivity of 91dB is also guarantees dynamic musical reproduction with plenty of SPL even when used with smaller amplifiers. The Spirit 6 is sonically classified as a modern loudspeaker system. Its competent demeanor during any type or style of music while always hitting the right note is ever convincing with its rich detail and realistic presence. The new woofers from Omnes Audio MW 5W, MW 6W and MW 8W, are technically and from their price point a real delicacy. Highlights include GERMAN ENGINEERING, white paper cone (MW6 B = black paper cone), inverted dust cap, optimized polymer basket, vented spider, vented pole piece, powerful ferrite magnet, gold plated terminals. The drivers developed by Blue Planet Acoustic are optimized for a wide frequency range , increased sensitivity and low distortion for maximum HiFi usability. New and specially developed surrounds for the models MW 5W and MW 6W. These were designed for loss free and even long throw movement. Voicecoil diameters of 25.55mm MW 5W, 32.5mm MW 6W , provide for ample thermal reserves. The MW 8W even has a 38.55mm voicecoil.

The most level frequency response was measured at an angle of 20 degrees, which we also realized in our listening room . In this positioning the Spirit 6 plays well rounded and in control. The bass comes across with a lot of presence, precision and power - this speaker could definitely provide the groove to any party. The midrange is like it should be: no trace of the measured anomalies, on the contrary, even critical instruments like violins and pianos sound real enough to touch and pleasantly open; certainly in part due to the extraordinary tweeter that projects the high frequencies refreshingly transparent and nimble.
