Luna Reloaded

The Luna is a 3 way speaker originally brought to life by Andreas Gude (Cantare Audio) in 2004. Luna reloaded revisits the design updating it for drivers currently available and in some cases better. The exceptional high tech woofer TB W6-1108 is a pure bass specialist. Its sandwich-honeycomb cone is extremely stiff, very light and well damped through the thin woven fiber layers. The original ribbon tweeter in the Luna is no longer available so an equal replacement had to be found. The CD NEO3 got the call. The mid range oft he original Luna was handled by the very good TB W4-655. But as it is better is the enemy of good. So for the Luna Reloaded the TB W4-1320 is utilized. With its lighter bamboo fiber cone, more linear frequency response it was already legendary as a 4" fullranger. The W4-1320was called upon for its light and lively mid range and harmonizes perfectly with the other drivers. The concept takes the form of a slim floorstanding speaker with a total volume of about 40L. With that relatively small volume and a height of 1m it is a floorstander that still fits in the living room. Decisive is however the speaker's uniform sound. Deep, fast, tight and precise bass, that doesn't leave older recordings sounding thin. The mid range reproduces voices and instruments with a natural realness and accuracy and the tweeter provides excellent detail and brillance without sounding overly bright.
